Sounds like fucked-out neurotic Steely Dan studio out-takes... I bought the record.
Songwriting, composition, lyrics, vocals, phrasing, consistency, production, mastering, cover art, mood -- the album is perfect. There are no weak points, no weak tracks. Addicted. That's it. Enjoy.
A near-perfect album from Vince. My top-rated of his albums; listened to this album twice through and not skipped a track.
Spellbinding and truly unique. Like previous JP albums, with every song on Here In The Pitch I'm transfixed by her playful and haunting voice, melodies and lyrics. Each song is like a little mystery unfolding.
There is something good going on here--keeps me well interested, a need to know what's coming next. The lead vocalist is something else. It's both a new abstract but also very familiar.
I rarely get excited by new music, but this album excites me.
