To me this feels like a good attempt at neofying wishes usual sound. Although it is quite loud and a bit abrasive, to me it works quite well still. Overtime my feeling on the song might change, but for know I quite like it. It would have improved quite a bit though if it had been just a bit more polished.

Something here has potential, I just can't find what. With songs like these I truly feel Seunghans departure, as out of all the member he would have been the best fit for this type of concept. Way better than I had expected. Good album overall, but it does lose some of its shine at the end. It is a bit front heavy. Haechan is a good singer, but he doesn't quite have the range for r&b. In some of the better songs this isn't a issue. But on some of the weaker songs this is a bit noticable. Not that big of a issue tho, it still is one of the strongest kpop albums of the year. Probably my favorite Key project to date. This album is great. The songs on this album fall in either of two categories, dark or light to put it simply. Quality wise this single does fall short compared to Keys other releases. But this is a Japanese single and not a major ep, so I think the somewhat jank mixing is excuse able. Either way i did enjoy the songs. Tongue tied is classic key. I do prefer it compared to fresh. Both are good, but better mixing would improve them quite majorly, especially fresh.

My issue with it is that I don’t ‘enjoy’ the song, what I mean is that I find it a chore to listen to because it doesn’t go anywhere, lacks energy and the girls aren't able to sell it properly. The song achives what it is meant to do. It wants to be sexy and dark, and that is exactly what it is. Like many have said there are some strong early Justin Timberlake vibes coming of off this. Since Justin hasnt really been bringing sexy back these last couple of years, I see no problem with Ateez taking this style and making It their own. And that is exactly what they have done here. This is a bit of a unusual kpop song. The combination of kpop with country isn't one you see often. The instrumentale contain a mix of acoustic and electric guitars, drums and even a banjo. This all is mixed with the more usual kpop sound. The members sound quite good on this song. And the track is over 3 minuten long a rarity now a days. Your impression of this album will really depend on if you do or don't like ballads or slow songs in general. Kpop ballad songs often get a bad rep because they are often forcefully included at the end of albums. Useally these songs are not very good and feel very soulless. I feel very conflicted about his song. On one hand, I don't like it. The lyrics are cliché or borderline crinch, the la la la part feels a bit jarring and like it doesn't fit and overall it doesnt fit the image I have of Ive.
