"lux" is genuinely impressive, despite not really being my cup of tea. it's refreshing to see something so maximalist. it's definitely an album you need to warm up to, as it starts to feel heavy about halfway through. thankfully berghain is waiting right there to take your attention back.

it's not what i was expecting at all, & i mean that in the best way possible.

"close to the edge" was actually insane. i wasn’t expecting that rich of not only an album, but an experience as well. each of the tracks is a rollercoaster where i just couldn't predict what was to come. i was quite frankly blown away & i’m excited to listen to more of yes’s work.

my little paragraph may be a little superficial but i just had to say *something* about this album. i could feel the earth shatter beneath me when eclipse came on.

“abbey road” is an album that isn’t lacking whatsoever. it may not be particularly groundbreaking, but it’s great because it’s *solid*. it’s the album-est album.

“her majesty” might be a little awkward, but it’s still a silly little surprise; perfect for a band like the beatles. still, the “golden slumbers”-“carry that weight”-“the end” trio makes a beautiful closer, especially considering the album was ... read more

“ok computer” is the album that sold me into radiohead, & to this day remains my favorite of theirs. it’s breathtaking.

“electioneering” breaks the flow for a moment, but it makes sense if you consider what it means to electioneer; politicians persuading civilians, people in power pretending that the world isn’t collapsing.

despite many people’s distaste for “fitter happier”, if anything, it’s the track that defines the whole ... read more

controversy aside, “man’s best friend” is not straight up terrible, not super musically bland… people definitely hate on it too much. regardless, it’s still very plain in my opinion. yet another run-of-the-mill, superficial take on ‘i know my worth, men are shit’, far from the feminist anthem some make it out to be.

i still believe sabrina carpenter can put out great *music*, but mediocre *songs*. the lyrics are lackluster, & at times flow ... read more
