Concrete Boys - It's Us Vol. 1

Production is pretty great!

Chris Patrick - THE CALM
65

Chris Patrick is back! I was a fan of "From the Heart, Vol 2", owning it on vinyl. His follow up, "X-Files", was pretty good too, though did not stick with me too much overall. Now the Jersey rapper is back with his shortest body of work yet, a Mixtape with 9 tracks at 25 minutes long.

"NUMB" starts off the project with a great instrumental, with what sounds like a drowned out sped up 90's r&b sample under some hard hitting percussion. Chris sounds as ... read more

Devin Malik - Canadian Tux

after soiling two tracks on scHoolboy's 'BLUE LIPS', devin is back to prove why he should stick behind the boards.

92

my most played album of 2023 and one of my favorite trap projects of all time. so many late night car rides with this on repeat.

KARRAHBOOO - RIP FOLLIES

the farmer in the dell ah beat

Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool
90

Probably their most beautiful album. So ethereal and melancholic.

Tyler, The Creator - Cherry Bomb
69

A mess but still very good. It’s his weird transition period between his two trilogies. Some moments are way too edgy, others are some of the smoothest moments of his career.

Childish Gambino - "Awaken, My Love!"
80

This is the best Childish Gambino album. Flaws are outshined by its beauty

bbymutha - Muthaleficent
51

First time hearing from BbyMutha and she has a lot of charm. It’s a pretty short ep filled with dark trap production. Some questionable decisions like the last track basically just being a zelooperz solo verse and the intro having a minute of silence. Definitely interested to hear some other stuff from her.

//She sounds like the child of Biggie Smalls and Yung Miami from the City Girls//

Satchy - Compatibility
60

A pretty short 9 track project surrounding relationship. Mostly Lo-Fi slow jams with some nice live instrumentation throughout. There are also some strictly instrumental tracks that are pretty nice.

It kinda reminds me of Slauson Malone's work so I would recommend it if you are a fan of their stuff. My least favorite part is pretty easily the singer's vocals. They're very groany and depressive, which fits the vibe of a lot of the tracks but takes me out of them sometimes.

Tha God Fahim & Mach-Hommy - Notorious Dump Legends: Volume 2
84

Mach & Fahim continue their duo discography, releasing their third project in the past ~6 months, this one being a sequel to their 2018 Notorious Dump Legends.

Straight from the jump, the two are really showing out on this project. The production is amazing, thanks to SadhuGold, Craven, and other contributors.

Mach continues to climb up my favorite modern day MC's and Fahim gave some of the best verses I've heard from him. One of my favorite releases from 2023.

Future - WE DON'T TRUST YOU

one of Future's best work. def could of been a few tracks shorter.

EDIT: 75->79 this is a really great listen front to back.

Future - I NEVER LIKED YOU
64

712PM is the greatest Future song ever... LOVE YOU BETTER is up there too.
