I had a lot of fun with this album. That's all I really wanted. I would not compare this to Emotion just as you shouldn't compare Igor to Flower boy. This is good. Nothing more nothing less.
This is good...really good. However, the album doesn't blow me away like it has many others. My biggest problem with the album is that it can tend to be lacking in the instrumental department. All of the instrumentals are good but nothing stands out as ground breaking. The real highlight of the album is Jacklin and her lyrics. She tells a story really well and is a great songwriter.
At the end of the year this album actually provides a truly entertaining listen compared to most rap albums. No it's not the experimental masterpiece of KSG and it's not the Grand experience of Astroworld but this album has quite the personality. Its honestly got the production of a rougher Playboi Carti album. Amine proves that he's actually a talented rapper whose experimental production that carried his last record isn't necessary to make good music.
