Rainy Days: 63
The chorus is decent and V does an apt job not keeping the song not monotonous even if it sounds like it at first and on the surface.
The production is disappointing and is no better than a YouTube chill and study video production.
Blue:68
The music production is shallow hiding behind the mask of simplicity.
Love Me Again:83
The disappointingly shallow production almost ruins this beautiful song. V did his best vocal performance on this track. The silences between lines in the chorus sound amazing.
Slow Dancing:87
This is the first time the production has taken a turn from the insipid tone of the opening tracks and has elevated to match the energy of the song. each instrument has a mission and captures the stages when there are no vocals in the second half of the song.
For Us:76
A smooth and sanguine, "blue" song. V's vocals are best observed on this track. This would make a great Album closing song.
Slow Dancing (Piano Ver.): 84
I like the Flutes better than the piano. But this version is also nice.
The Album:
I am a V fan but I don't wanna ruin the review by taking a bias.
The overall vocals are masterful and perfect for the Jazzy and Blue vibe that V is trying to set. His voice gives a cheerfully sanguine touch to the sad and wishful lyrics.
The most disappointing element of the EP is the music production. It vacillates from simple and fitting on some tracks to shallow, indolent, and lifeless just being no better than a Lofi chill video.
This had the potential of being an amazing debut for V, but the production pulls his legs with its cold and somnolent hands.
Raw Score: 77
Final Score:73
The lack of potential production sets the album back.
