Raye is an exceptional talent so I already had high expectations. She enthralls her audience through cinematic style storytelling. Her songwriting is on another level. I also love the way her jazzy/quavering singing style relates to the dark, haunting themes of the album. Noticed a transition from hope - to despair - to hints of hope.
