If I wanted to hear dollar general versions of all these artists, I would listen to one of those fuckass “x song but it’s just my voice” videos. Even his own fans can tell he just sounds like some other artist on each track, from Migos to the weekend, from Kodak to Kendrick, even copying some of his direct collaborators on the album like 21.

This is like watching a world class athlete at 65. The muscle memory is still there, but the performance is nowhere near what it used to be.
There is nothing happening here, but it tries really hard to convince you there is.

It feels almost criminal that this album has no ratings.
The album is carried by strong melodies throughout, and its very textured and mysterious sounding, but it never gets boring. I cant point to a single source of comparison, but the overall vibe is like over the garden wall if they time traveled to the future. idc how dorky that sounds.
