Perfect album, amazing performances from every member of the band, especially the drummer.
The level of aggression and energy in every song is perfect, with fantastically heavy instrumentals and a mix that is oppressive and fills the head.

Will come back to do a better review another time.

Primitive Man - Caustic

Super challenging listen, 1 hour and 17 minutes of primitive man is quite an expierience.
For some people this album is quite boring, but I think coupled with the crushing heaviness of the band, the length makes for a very unique listening.
No other album has made my mind feel dissolved by the end (even other primitive man projects), and after listening to caustic for the first time, it really changed the way I view music as a whole, and opened up lots of new ways for me to appreciate the more ... read more

My favourite album of all time.

In this album Mr. Bungle reduce (some) of their weirdness to create their magnum opus. They perfect their incredibly varied sound and channel it into an album that simultaneously enters great depths of the possibility of their music, whilst remaining an immensely fun listen. Mr Bungle's weirdest album, and sometimes a challenging listen, but I still love it. Like self titled it's only a 99 because California is my favourite. Pretty perfect album.
