Perfection, front to back. A man, a sailor, haunted at sea by the crewmates lost, yearning to reach a static horizon all for an escape. This record is glorious. With tracks going from sounding urgent yet symphonic, to just plain Jane controlled chaos, Quadeca pulls it all off with ease. I really love the mix of percussion in this record too. Six years is long enough. This album is an absolute experience from start to finish. With each song, you can sense the amount of passion Jon has for his music and his fatherhood. The beats and melodies are catchy and very interesting at times, the lyrics are stunning as always. Jon has outdone himself here, go listen
I believe this is TØP at their best and most mature. This album is definitely a crazy return from SAI and I absolutely love it. The tracks are full-sounding, spanning from heavy to acoustic to just plain groovy. Plus, most of the song have a deeper, more introspective meaning to them that may hit home for some. Just perfect, looking forward to Breach!
The only thing holding this album slightly together is the singles, everything else feels unfinished. I can see the vision he was going for, he just needs to flesh it out more.
I have been excitedly waiting for this album since it was announced. Ever since listening to their debut album, I've been obsessed with this band and couldn't wait for new releases.
Burnout Days is definitely a fresh sound from Flipturn, taking a bit of a turn from Shadowglow. This album, in my opinion, has no skips.
