Finally got around to listening this after watching The Roots tiny desk. The album is good and relaxed but it’s just a bit bloated. If Bilal trimmed down the tracklist it would be like a mid-80s; there’s just so many songs that blend in that really bloat the album. The singing is the real performance and it’s amazing.
Pretty good southern hip-hop with plenty of variety. Love the southern gospel elements and the string sections with the features fitting the album perfectly but some songs do are a little bland. A promising album for an up-and-coming artist full of bangers and chill songs.
One of the most unique soundscapes for an album I’ve ever heard. Flylo being able to mix EDM, jazz, funk, & hip-hop is truly a sound to behold. Although, some songs are a little bland, most are extremely diverse. I wish he returns to this sound in the future.
Extremely underrated Memphis rap album. Straight banger after banger throughout the whole album. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking fun rap albums.
Super chill album that perfectly encapsulates the sound of a bustling city.
