ian definitely sounds like a worse version of deep voiced Playboi Carti or even Ken Carson but idk man, sometimes this tape can be a vibe. The beats are pretty cool most of the time and every once in a while ian says a line that makes me laugh or has a catchy hook or verse that keeps the song interesting.
However, the longest song on here is 2 minutes and 24 seconds and even though a song like Chauncey will be fire it's way too short for me to give a high rating to it. I'd also rather listen ... read more
LUCKI's performances are pretty average on this but at least the beats make up for it.

MM..FOOD is my first impression of MF DOOM'S music and I wasn't really sure what to expect after only knowing Rapp Snitch Knishes + a few snippets and bars from some of his other songs. So after listening to this album all the way through, I can say that I definitely enjoyed the time I had with this album.
MM..FOOD mostly consists of beats with weird but also unique samples, punchy drums, and some great flows and bars by DOOM himself, and it all works pretty well. The killer and scary energy ... read more
Fuck the beef bro I'm trying to hear more songs from Kendrick that sound like this
This is exactly what I expected a great response from Drake to sound like. There's great flows, solid production, some funny ass bars, and some good shots at Kendrick, Future, Metro, and the 17 other people that are dissing Drake. Also it's so funny how people are trying to call this mid or say it's over and that Kendrick won. The beef is definitely not over yet especially after what was said in this song and also on Kendrick's other disses. But until then, we are all witnessing hip hop history ... read more
Idk if I believe the whole daughter thing but this diss is still absolutely fucking brutal. The whole concept of Kendrick having individual verses for Drake's family and talking about Drake being a terrible person is just WILD.
This is probably the most intense and brutal song I've ever heard from Kendrick, and he managed to keep it engaging and consistent for 6 minutes straight.
DISC 1 REVIEW: I didn't really know what I would think of this album when it came out. With the 2 discs and 1 hour 28 minute length, my hopes weren't very high, and even though I liked WE DON'T TRUST YOU, I still thought that album had a few filler songs on it. However, after hearing the first 3 tracks of disc 1 and noticing the switch in sound from WDTY, I thought this album would be great and possibly even better than WDTY. But then I realized Future isn't the kind of person to keep an album ... read more
this is just very dull and lifeless emo rap, it's either very annoying or very boring to listen to.

WE DON'T TRUST YOU is a very straight forward album with a tight track list and some fire ass songs by future and metro. The production is consistently good and catchy while future's performances are mostly great. While there are a few skips on this album (especially on the second half), Future and Metro manage to make the best songs on here sound insanely hard.

This song is just annoying as fuck and sounds super amateur, also this is easily the worst Carti feature in this current run he's been on.
Yeat took all of the creative ideas from AfterLyfe and created a big, grand, futuristic sci-fi alien album. 2093 is easily Yeat's most focused and risk-taking album yet. Yeat completely switched from the turban wearing guy that raps about tonkas to being the time traveling alien overlord that he presents himself to be on 2093. He also managed to make a 22 track 70 minute album engaging and interesting all the way through, and it's not even like he's being carried by features or production, he ... read more
this is the only song that's able to make me cry or tear up with every listen, easily one of his most underappreciated songs ever.
4:44 is the first JAY-Z album I've fully heard and I absolutely love it. The album manages to be very engaging with the insanely good bars and production on these tracks. It never gets boring and there's not one skip on here. If this isn't even his best according to fans then I'm definitely excited to check out his other projects.

All Is Yellow is a proper example of just because someone is skilled and creative at one thing it doesn't mean they'll be the same at other things. Cole Bennett might be good at creating music videos for other artists but he's definitely not good when it comes to making actual songs for other artists.

It's actually surprising that Ken Carson's debut single is more enjoyable than a large chunk of all his other music.
VULTURES 1 is a very messy, strange, and unfocused album. But it's also a beautiful, versatile and unpredictable journey of pure madness. When we thought it was all over for Kanye, he managed to come back and drop the best album of 2024 so far. There's amazing production from front to back, great performances from Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign, and an amazing feature list. 20 years after dropping one of the greatest hip-hop albums ever (The College Dropout), it's safe to say Kanye still has it in him ... read more
i loved these songs when they were first played at the listening parties and they still sound fire asf now. vultures is gonna be insane.
