Best tracks: Brain Revolution Girl, Shunran, Marshall Maximizer, WAVE, Rumor
Worst tracks: Hana Obore, CH4NGE
Overall very good by VBS standards, definitely stronger hitters than Vol.2, but the weaker songs are very weak. The CH4NGE cover is honestly insulting, it's crazy to me how awful this cover is. Just don't listen to it. If I was Giga and made so many good songs for this game only for them to take a hot dump on CH4NGE, I'd block all contact. Hana Obore feels like there is ... read more
Would give this song a higher score if I could. It's insane how every other song in the movie sounds like a rejected draft Deco*27 was going to use for MILGRAM. I would say this song wouldn't be as good if it didn't TOWER over the other music from the movie but it really is that good. VBS sounds SO GOOD without the Virtual Singers who often hold their performances back. It's very rare that a VS doesn't, and I wish that they would be able to perform more without VS. ... read more
Rekka is so good Jiena and Akina put their whole ######## into this song its so good you can just feel the toxic yearning yuri through the speakers. niki's instrumentals are always bumpin.
ULTRA C also naturally goated with mama Giga at the helm. Fire Dance isn't on this site and thank god for that it'd be the only music song to get 100 I swear you can always trust Giga to make a good VBS song. Mother Reol came around to help with the lyrics and it shows. ULTRA C really has the ... read more
Beyond the way is EASILY THE BEST 3rd anniversary Untitled song. Literally bodies the rest of those trashcans.
blender is also perfect, I'm devastated that the full version is so short though.
Realize is so insane, but its definitely better as the shorter version.
Crazy is awesome, love Luka's use in recent VBS songs.
Best tracks: Alter Ego, Imperial Girl, Egoist, SHANTI
Worst tracks: Ame to Petra, PaIII. SENSATION, Uninterrupted Indigo
Much better songs this year around, but some of the full versions might be worse than the in-game versions (Egoist, looking at you). I really enjoyed a lot of the songs though, but a questionable performance by the BAD DOGS in the Vivid-less songs.
Best tracks: Traffic Jam, ECHO (?)
Worst tracks: Just Be Friends, Devil's Manner
Honestly early VBS cover songs are so ass... Most are just fine, but some are straight up worse than the original, especially Devil's Manner.
Hitsuji ga Ippiki is just so good. They really need to use MEIKO in more commission songs. That's their mother. Love the instrumental, and Akina especially kills it in the vocals.
Gekokujou is also really good. I love the angry An sound, but I don't really like the new trend of a lot of VBS commissions being the same length in and out of game.
Utsuro wo Aogu is cute, I guess. The vocals between each pair is nice. I like the instrumentals. That's all I have to say, yeah.
Kashika is probably my least favorite song in this entire game. It's not that it's bad, it's very whatever. But holy shit, do they ever play anything else? How does it sneak its way into every setlist? I'm actually sick of this song. Just listen to the Vocaloid version. It still has the same chorus, which is easily the best part.
Gekkou actually carrying Machi SOOO hard. It amazes me that Gekko is almost never played at live events. Fumiya Imai's vocals are nothing short of angelic in this song, and Akina, Jiena, and Ito Kent do an amazing job during the rest of the song. Shoutout to my beautiful wife MEIKO for her first ever song with VBS, absolutely knocked it out of the park.
Machi is alright, I much prefer the in-game version. It's cute, I like the one An solo line. It really shows off what a strong ... read more
Actually crying because this shit is so ass. Mirai is probably one of the WORST commission songs ever put out by this game. Whoever was the vocal director for this song must be deaf because holy crap, how do you make ALL the seiyuus sound so awful??
Flyer! is alright, but it can get really annoying. Like you can't even listen to this song more than once without getting brain damage.
Beat Eater has been a strong Kohane focus song since it came out. I think Len's inclusion is very shoehorned in, but it's still good.
Awake Now has definitely grown on me, but I still keep it at an arms length away. The instrumental opening is just a bit too long for my taste.
RAD DOGS has aged well. There really isn't a song that sounds like it. I'm not its biggest fan, but I can recognize how good it is.
Cinema has stood the test of time, I don't care if it's overrated, it's that way for a reason. The PJSK instrumental is much better than the Ayase instrumentals.
Ready Steady is easily one of the better starting commission songs from Project Sekai.
Forward is a very bland song, good instrumentals if nothing else. Very boring, most Project Sekai fans just hate 'slow' songs that aren't blasting sounds in your ears.
