A testament to Cole’s lyrical ability, tainted by unnecessary length and lack of motivation to innovate. There’s no denying almost every track contains creative storytelling and convincing delivery, but it’s just too much for one listen.
While Rocky might be a little rusty from a musical standpoint, he's continued to practice art in many forms, and it shows. Despite a few duds, this record boasts the level of creativity and experimentalism we've come to expect from the A$AP Mob ringleader.
Imagine the biggest space you can possibly think of... This LP can fill it. So many elements of so many genres, combined so elegantly you never once question Anna's judgement. Aside from a dreadful Iggy Pop feature and some shaky vocals as Anna breaches the edge of her vocal range, this album offers listeners an experience like no other.
