I was so glad to hear ‘Axis’ on the radio previewing the release of ‘Electric’ Pet Shop Boys are back to the electro synth roots yeah!!

I did enjoy ‘Elysium’ but like a lot of people ‘Electric’ was the album we’ve been waiting for and we didn’t even know it.

There’s some great songs to really get into and other ones that are better in the background – driving or partying to for example.

Happiness was such a great album it was always going to be difficult for them to follow. Exile is good attempt but it feels like its lacking in the synth riff area. Its missing the lift of songs like ‘Better than Love’ and ‘Sunday’ but hey it’s a different personality and if I want songs like that I can go and listen to ‘Happiness’ and shut up about it.

I love Hurts, they're like a younger Pet Shop Boys, all that standing and scowling. I love the title ‘Happiness’ Hurts is so reminiscent of Pet Shop Boys ‘Please’

This is one of my favourite albums. The best song for me ‘Sunday’ but that’s because of the banging synth pop tune, how can you go wrong with tracks like that!

I bought this in the airport on the way to Egypt and every time I hear that first track ‘New In Town’ it takes me right back to walking along the Nile in Luxor on a warm evening with a very nice young man.

I think Little Boots has been overlooked by other similar acts at the time like La Roux and it’s a real shame. She is a relevant electro pop artist.
