Excellent beat and really catchy hook. Verse is alright but overall another hit.
I remembered actually liking this record a while ago before I really got into music. This is Imagine Dragon’s best record though it’s not exactly saying much. The album opens with probably Imagine Dragon’s best song, but then jumps all over the place with some having more alt-rock elements ie. This is hands down the best nu-metal album and falls along the trend of the original being superior. The tracks on this album are decent at worst and excellent at best. The last third of the album contains weaker tracks but the disturbing yet beautiful closing track “Daddy” make this entire record a worthwhile listen.
Some of the singles off this record are solid tracks, but can’t save the complete trashfire that is the rest of the record. Wes Borland’s riffs are what makes this album listenable, while Fred Durst’s “performance” is nothing short of horrendous. There are some really cheesy parts of this record that made some of the listening experience enjoyable ex. intro part of Hot Dog, but overall this album’s cover art and title are pretty indicative of its quality. ... read more
