Antimessiah, the man behind this project, is one of the most brilliant black metal riffers I think I have heard in my entire life. This guy's approach to guitar is harsh, melodic, and refreshingly unique. I don't know if I've ever heard someone use such happy(?) sounding major key riffs before in such an effective way. A lot of the production is pretty good but I swear I wrote these same bars in middle school
I had this rated as an 89, but after listening to it again I cannot for the life of me identify why. This album is shockingly boring. For being such an insanely high-rated post-rock album, I was expecting Godspeed levels of entertainment but found nothing nearly as good.
