Anyone that has listened closely to Ceschi over the years should know that he grew up in the cult known as Catholicism. It's a recurring theme of which he constantly shares his distaste towards. There was a time when Danny Brown was kicking some of the most authentic ghetto street tales in the Rap game. The Detroit state of mind series was loaded with gems. Then he released XXX and it was a solid transition into the hipster realm while still keeping in gutter. He carried that over to Old which in my opinion was the most complete album of his career. billy woods and Armand Hammer are indepedent thinking grown man Rap. woods is an Alphamale in a rap world full of fruitcake heroes turning men into girls. This album touches on the things all real men should be concerned with. Woods is filled with the holy spirit here to wake up the lost souls that fill the Rap terrain.
This album for me is not quite as good as Paraffin. But I enjoy it much more then Hiding Places. The moral of the story is woods and Elucid have revived the New York Hip Hop ... read more
