GWSN is one of the promising acts in their generation and this album seals it. First of all, it was sonically cohesive and stay true to their sound. Secondly, the songs were not so tacky— in a sense that everything about it was piled piece by piece.
Quite interesting for a nugu group to have this type of sound which I often heard from NCT. Although there might be some production I caught sounding fairly generic (ex., chord progressions remain the same from start to finish so the excitement deprives)
Favorite track: loop.dll
Least favorites: alien in Seoul, connected
Hopefully, some of the listeners learn not to overrate. The first and second track is a good introduction but from learning to differentiate which gets my ears, I heard that these following tracks represents the early pop music (songs that used to be Backstreet Boys' forte).
Not bad for it be catering the popular taste. I might rank this higher in a non technical perspective but I needed to be truthful here
BIG BANDS (Chinese & Korean Ver.): 5/10 - 50
Ice Tea: 8/10 - 80
WOAH: 6/10 - 60
Sad Eyes: 7.4/10 - 74
Your Song: 7.5/10 - 75
You might not be a fan of the lengthy tracks but hearing this will make you feel some type of tranquility
Undeserving of being unfairly rated. The title track is not as strong as the previous EP but the improvements in the process are obvious.
The girls that get it, will get it. The very first TWICE album that piqued my interest
No further explanations. This EP in particular is one of my favorite releases so far in 2025. I was in total shock and enthralled of the art.
Genuinely, don't sleep on it. I'm begging you. Truth be told, when I first heard the Track 01, I know the following will be more than I imagine and it did not disappoint. This album feels like a once in a lifetime release. A movie translated as songs, perhaps.
I rate this (when not Deluxe) as roughly 79
The following are some tracks that are not included in the track ratings and I decided to add them for a more accurate review
Summer Night City // 87
Lovelight - Original Version // 84
Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight) // 100
This album is a lot more stronger than their past ones. Actually, I find each of every songs as reminiscence of an old flavors that the producers usually done for the last 5 years in K-pop, but I don't think that is an issue.
From a seed called ‘Hey, what’s up?’: Some people have noticed its similarity to SNSD's 'Into the New World' and I cannot shake that fact. Both of these songs used the same chord progression but different in some way. It is a cute ... read more
Nevermind the first review. I listened to it again with earphones on and now, I understand why everyone is obsessing with it. Everything is well thought of by piece and definitely not close to the generic. Also, it is bursting with Club (or simply EDM), which I really like in a song.
Some tracks are superb as if the creative freedom was evidently demonstrated in them. Tracks 3, 4 & 5 are better off unreleased (but were unfortunately released to cater for Korean listeners) if they aim for an authentic fusion of Metal and Alternative Rock/K-Rock.
FIGHT ME // 74
Beautiful Life // 93
more than i like // 35
Diamond // 40
Supernatural // 41
George the Lobster // 91
