wow she’s back and angrier! this album sounds so different from quintessential girl in red, which seems to be a common theme for the albums that have recently been released. she’s a lot “rock” in this album, much more vocal and _there_ as an artist vs. more vague distant lyrics that don't make us feel closer to girl in red as a person
i only know benson from beautiful things, but keeps up this performance in this entire album! it’s very jeremy zucker x conan gray vibes, but it’s a solid album with good music. it’s a nice combo of vocals and fun changes in audio. his lyrics are also strangely honest and relatable — he really expresses things that aren’t just the positive parts of life. slow it down, cry, my greatest fear >>

vampire weekend u have to stop. ur production too tough. your lyrics to different. your piano too beautiful. they’ll kill you
it’s so beautiful! too beautiful. they combine good musical talent and piano and classical elements and mix that with these very Vampire Weekend™ beats and clashing sounds to make a really fun sound experience. classical, capricorn, and prep-school gangsters are amazing
stunning work, unbelievably sad, gets better upon multiple listens and her lyrics are just so heartbreakingly realistic. we see a relationship fall apart, we see her fall in love, it feels like a series of hidden diary entries meant for a mysterious person who never hears her.
i think the sound of the album is so much better live than on streaming,; appreciated the album so much more when i saw her live in boston
