2026 Update: Ive had a come to god moment with this album and think i was smoking dick with my OG review, while not as good as the first iteration of the series, theres some secret hidden bangers here that are good enough, theres a ton of reverb on chavos audio here making it feel a lot more spacey.
Songs like Packs, Rari and Hennessy still suck mega ass but songs like American Deli, Paris and Mission Impossible have popped out for me wayyyyy more and I catch myself always listening to them ... read more
better than I thought it would be but I was not expecting very much to begin with, starts off very well but by the end this felt very forgettable, as much as I like seeing artists grow, its really sad as a bladee yung lean collab cloud rap album was something I always wanted. This isnt even the best post-punk inspired thing yung leans ever made, dod mark does way more for me.
Best songs: Ghosts, Golden God
XXX turned up to fucking 11, its amazing, the balls to the wall production with some fucking insane use of sampling, dannys vocals having so much authenticity and range, its beautiful in a dark twisted way.
Listen to this please :)

This was a fun little find that spotify recommended me, I wont lie and say I really knew what tread as a genre was but this tape was very fun. Not much to really say about it, this is WOD when they were still deep underground and some of these beats create this atmosphere that mixed with the vocals gives off this grimey aggresive feeling. Theres not a lot on the lyric department and some members of five finger posse sound like theyre recording vocals in entirely different studios but the ... read more
We're going on 7 years since Tay-Ks SantanaWorld mixtape was released and its had a lot more staying power than one may have expected, released while the rapper was incarcerated and hot off the hype of The Race, this mixtape features tracks that while don't flow from one to another well are all good enough as singles to where it kind of makes up for it. This album shows off a lot of why people still talk about Tay-K, a great voice with some very cleaver wordplay makes these songs way more ... read more
Im ashamed to admit that once upon a time a 15 year old me was a huge fan of meme rap and though it was def a phase that is largely forgotten, dbangz was always an artist that had a lot more staying power than your lil booms and lil barnacles. Summer booty sweat is one of the few meme rap albums I always come back to every once in a while and theres a good reason why. Dbangz, though rapping typical meme rap bars (besides way back when which is jarring in a good way) has a very versatile flow ... read more
Pi'erre collab albums always leave me with a feeling of there being something missing from them being good front to back, like Pi'erre and his artist cant seem to get on the same wavelength for an entire album leading to some very weird tone shifts throughout along with some forgettable tracks.
Chavo's World is an exception to the rule, a very underrated trap album that I recently had the pleasure of finding by curiosity, it really does seem like for the first time theres a very good blend of ... read more
