As a huge fan of Dave (I'd put him in my top 10 of all time), this album felt a little disappointing. While this project is clearly filled with intent and emotion, only 6/10 of the songs have stuck with me after a couple of listens. That being said, Fairchild might be the best song I've heard this year. A couple of these songs are contenders for his best work but a few of them also might be his most skippable.
This is one of my favourite albums of this decade so far.
Let the Lights On:

A melancholic declaration of love with a hint of desperation and awareness that it might not last.
The emotion follows through in the guitar and piano whilst the drums maintain the speed of it all and assist in making the vocals feel like a teary eyed rush.

Starting with a dejected farewell to love, this song quickly kicks into frustration and confusion.

Mostly a hazy and almost disorientating trip through walls of texture and confrontations towards the British public. There are some interesting features and collaborations here too, namely: Lex Amor, Asha Lorenz (of the band 'Sorry') and Black Midi.
