This album is a grower for sure. I’d give it two-three listens before rating it. I’d put it fourth overall in his discography but it is nowhere near as bad as people are making it out to be.
I’m a huge fan of Tame Impala and even I don’t see how his new album will beat this. This is a masterpiece and while I like 3D country more I think this will send this band into the stratosphere.
The tune itself isn’t the most catchy thing from him. But the production and mixing and psychedelic synths and structure elevate it to become a good/interesting take on house.
I love this band even though they’re far down on my list of favorites.
This album is great despite a couple of lows. The sheer emotion is enough to make you cry, or smile. A fitting end to the story of trench and blurryface.
So many songs sound like earlier indie throwbacks but it works in their favor due to the production and songwriting on hand.
The vocals are done well and like I said tyler’s voice is the window into the soul of Clancy’s saga.
