Drake - ICEMAN

An hour of victim raps. That’s what we got 2 years after Drake got publicly embarrassed in front of the world. Nothing real introspective, nothing really interesting, nothing that makes you feel like what happened to him was a travesty even though that’s clearly what he wants you to feel throughout this album. Just straight victimhood and woe is me raps for an hour straight. As someone who has been a fan of Drake since I was a child, it truly pains me to see that this is where ... read more

Drake - MAID OF HONOUR

I had to sort my library by lowest rated to see how this compares to all the other bad albums I listened to. That’s how shit it was.

I really wanted to like it. I really did. I like singing Drake a lot so I wanted this to be so much better. But it was just SOOO BORINGGGGGG.

Kehlani - Kehlani

As someone who’s been wanting to get into Kehlani for a while now, I’m so glad to say that I’m finally a fan. She has such an amazing voice and it complements the amazing production of each song really well. I wasn’t in love with some of the features like Cardi B or Big Sean, but Kehlani really makes up for it with her performance on each of these songs. I’m happy I listened to this and I can’t wait to hear more from her.

Jane Remover - ♡

Jane Remover truly never fails to amaze me. The production, the vocals, and just the overall creativity on this are leagues above others and are so addicting to the point where I've done nothing but listen to this for the past 2 days. Jane, please never stop making music.
Favorite Tracks: Magic I Want U, Music Baby, Flash in the Pan, Dream Sequence, How To Teleport

The Scythe - Strictly 4 The Scythe

People are definitely doing too much on this tape ngl. While the first half was a lot better, the second half is definitely not ass. In fact, songs like HOOPTY and UP are actually very good. My only complaint is that when you hold this to other projects in Denzel's discog, it is nowhere near his best. I still see potential in this group, however, and I have a good feeling about their next output.
Favorite Tracks: LIT EFFECT, THE SCYTHE, PHONY, MUTT THAT BIH, HOOPTY

Yeat - ADL

This album isn't perfect, but it is truly not as bad as everyone is saying it is. In fact, I liked it a lot. I just wish the same momentum he had on Dangerous Summer was carried over onto this album.
Favorite Tracks: Purpose General, Griddle, Dangerous House, My Time, Back Home

underscores - U

Yea she made a fan out of me. This album is so fun and has so many addicting songs on it (Do It, Music, Innuendo, Wish U Well). I'm definitely going to listen to more from her soon.
Favorite Tracks: Music, Innuendo (I Get U), Do It, Bodyfeeling, Wish U Well

slayr - Half Blood (BloodLuxe)

As if Half Blood wasn't already amazing, BloodLuxe turns this into a perfect project for me. The energy, the production, the transitions, the experimentation. Everything is so fucking good. I haven't been able to put this album down since I heard it for the first time, and I expect this to stay in rotation for much longer, too. Slayr is without a doubt next up.
Favorite Tracks: Hard Knock, Daytona, Toxic, Eyesight, Brand New

Eminem - The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)

Not gonna lie, I didn't hate this album. I enjoyed the story this album was trying to tell, but my main issue was its execution. Everything just felt forced and inauthentic to me. Additionally, a lot of the bars on this were just straight corny. However, my biggest criticism with this whole thing is that after Guilty Conscience 2, the album just becomes an extra 20 or so minutes of filler. Some good came out of those last couple of songs, but they didn't belong on the album AT ... read more
