Patterns in Repeat

Delicately gorgeous. Laura Marling’s writing style has always been so powerful yet also so restrained and subtle, and this record showcases this style in perfect fashion- largely I’d imagine due to her birthing a daughter since the last record’s release. Purposefully incredibly sparsely produced in a way that lets every word and every pluck of the strings ring out with clarity. With time this will probably beat out Song For Our Daughter as my favorite of hers
