Endtroducing.....

Given that Endtroducing won the world record for the first record to be compiled of purely sampled material, it goes without saying this record was WILDLY ahead of its time in just about every aspect. The samples used here conjure such a unique vibe that feels simultaneously groovy, alien, and cold all at the same time. I’m definitely a much bigger fan of projects that would take the groundwork laid here and expand on it, i.e. Avalanches, but I gotta give credit where credit is due as this record really did pave the way for sampling to this degree
