Super stripped back singer-songwriter bliss. Given this album is still really early on in her career the production is still relatively simplistic, but it serves the vast majority of these tracks brilliantly. Her songwriting shines through in a far more potent way than her debut, ESPECIALLY on the closer Both Sides Now, which is one of Joni's most iconic songs and for damn good reason bc it's one of the best songs I have ever heard. She would go on to reach even greater heights for sure but this album has a stripped back beauty to it that none of her other albums really have
