i feel this must be a fine introduction to cunningham's body of work which i am definitely am going to have to check out because i enjoyed this album so much. it's lovely, serene, moody poetry in the form of excellently performed, instrumental-rich chamber folk—what's not to like? ace drifts but doesn't meander, asks but doesn't offer an answer, looks backwards, forwards, inwards, and everywhere sonically and lyrically interesting.
