the first half is very rocky, with usually SOMETHING holding the tracks back. disappointing features, bad hooks, lazy deliveries, etc. especially for how anticipated this was, I left confused at the current reception.

fantastic album. feels like a more mature, fully realized "better luck next time" which is already one of my favorite midwxst projects. the production here is soooo fucking good and it feels like a step towards a more mature sound from him

this is one of the best produced albums I've heard in a long time. these are the most lush, gorgeous beats combined with some passionate, soulful rapping from McKinley and all the features. this is jazz.
