truly a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, in terms of both it's unique twist on the standard shoegaze sound and the absurd yet oddly familiar lyricism thrown in these songs. an absolute must listen, i wish i knew about this album a few years back. video is a top 5 song of all time
i would give this a slightly lower rating but i think the order of the listening sequence for this EP puts this song at the end, and with how the story (albeit a smaller one) plays out, having this as an ending track makes it a lot more impactful and a much more enjoyable listening experience when you're doing the whole thing in one sitting
i don't care if people think the one on backseat girl is better they're both so different and they're BOTH peak
amazing album, but there's about 2-3 songs that just really bring it down from being a spectacular one. regardless of that, still a really impressive debut in all honesty and holds up really well to this day.
p.s: glass beach is a criminally underrated song i have no clue why no one talks about it
Hard to explain this album, but I really like how a lot of the songs sound. For someone who really enjoys a variety of sounds between tracks in an electronic genre, "SISTER" does just that.
