PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM I BEG YOU 🙏 🙏 🙏
I am extremely biased but this is one of my father's favorite albums and carries deep emotional and cultural meaning.
This album was made during Bulgaria's very difficult transition from socialism to democracy. The country was finally starting to recover and young people were hopeful of the future. As a result you get a beautiful mix of youngster, rebel culture in Bulgaria from this period, paired with the sudden rise in ... read more
Y'all think waaay too hard about this album. I think it should have been labeled as a mixtape but it achieves it's stated goal perfectly.
Keep dancing people 🕺🕺🕺
Alchemist❌ gastronome✅
We are eating GOOD this summer and the Alchemist and Freddie Gibbs just gave us another gourmet meal🍜🍜
I never expected this album to get a sequel and tbh I was worried that it was gonna ruin the original's reputation. But THANKFULLY I was proven very wrong. Production feels so crisp and the tracks feel like they carry the Alfredo energy but with a new more modern and more refined feel to them.

After Issac's departure, I thought this band was unfortunately dead. In a way I wasn't wrong. This BCNR is not the BCNR from back then. However, despite everything, the band's signature chaotic energy and epic portrayal persist, even more than before. Before listening to this album, i never thought that I would tear up on lyrics about gut microbiome.

In the day and age of nonchalant low quality rap, this album really stands out! I feel like it's so rare to find music where you can FEEL the work and the passion that has gone into it. The production is rich and the samples are magnificent. Yes it gets a bit repetitive by the end, but I feel the album isn't trying to be incredibly introspective or diverse to begin with.
Favorite: PREACHER!
In isolation, this is a good abstract, jazzy rap album. In reality it is a beautiful and heartbreaking piece of music, letting us see just a bit more of Mac Miller's genius mind. I discovered Mac miller after he passed and probably for the better. I wouldn't have been able to handle it otherwise. It is so eerie seeing an album with so many themes of drugs, suicide and death come from an artist with a tragic faith, years before it happens. Also the production is immaculate. Ts was so buns. I appreciate the fact that Drake wants to experiment with his music. Maybe he needs to do so ATP in his career, but here it just didn't work at all.
People that hate on this album are allergic to fun. The album is a great collection of Carti songs, the majority of which were a very enjoyable listen. Was it worth the wait? I can't say, but in isolation the album is exactly what people expected it to be. Perhaps some people are disappointed because they expected the album to be the second coming of Christ because of the wait when In reality Carti just doesn't give a shit.
