Extra Special Bitter is Hard

I subscribe to the theory that this album was made for the Alive 2007 remixes.

I think it's a pretty solid full listen, and while probably their worst album (excluding the tron soundtrack), I'd prefer a full listen of this over Homework. The only songs I don't like are Steam Machine and The Brainwasher. Steam Machine's vocal loop is almost unbearable by the end of the song. The Brainwasher is just too much, but its Alive 2007 remix is crazy.

Good stuff from Men At Work. A fun listen from front to back, although the front half is better than the back half. Blue For You is the most unique song on the album. Shintaro and Till The Money Runs Out on the b side are fun songs too. I think I'm higher on this album than most though.

Disappointing- I Like To

This album is Local H's debut, and you can tell. Lots of great stuff on this album that translates into their next two albums. Joe's drumming is heavy and energetic which adds a ton to the album. The band's mature and reflective writing continues through the next two albums, and the rest of Local H's discography after Joe left the group.
