Honestly, one of the best songs of the 80s imo. The Footloose version of this song is by far the best one, it just kind of fleshes out the power of the single version and doesn't feel nearly as rushed. Incredibly powerful vocal delivery on here that accompany the dramatically written set of lyrics extremely well. Unfortunately, I find that not all the lyrics hit for me, but I am certainly invested in some of the writing. It's the chorus that gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Might be one of the best choruses I've ever heard, even if the song isn't really groundbreaking.

Listening to this again for the first time in several months, I am completely and utterly mind blown beyond belief. This song has one of THE most UNHINGED guitar solos I've ever heard! The writing is incredibly compelling too, with one of the most powerfully versatile vocal performances in the band's history. Ever so much feelings and emotions are unlocked here, and there is no excusing the fact that by being one of Muse's earliest songs, it's a truly impeccable feat. A lot ... read more
Legitimately one of the greatest pieces of music ever recorded. When it came to 50s hits, there was never quite ANYTHING like this! Above everything that is already perfectly done, like production, lyrics and instrumentation, it's the execution that blows my mind every time. No matter how many takes they could've had recording this, they ended up with a finalised version that echoes from heaven itself, SERIOUSLY immaculate vocal performances from the group. This song, in my opinion, ... read more
