I saw this album IN PERSON with MY OWN EYES on CD at my local thrift store. I think that cursed me for the rest of my life.
I hope to one day find appreciation for Life Of A Match, but for now, it stands as my least favorite song by The Matches. Crucial Comeback is great, though. One of my favorites by them.
Lyrics make no sense, The Fourth Drink Instinct is creepy as hell, singing is nothing to write home about...I still like it, though. I really thought this band was on par with The Academy Is... a few years ago. Cute is What We Aim For is certainly a relic of the time period.
