It's not their best, but it's definitely better than Chapter 6. Some songs are unnecessarily long, and they don't have much to offer production-wise, so it gets a bit boring. Then again, not as boring as Chapter 6!
This kinda gives me hope for the new album. Ever since he announced it would be Magic Man 2, I was worried everything would sound the same. But this is different from anything he’s done so far, so I’m hopeful!
I love Geonu's voice so much... Both songs are quite emotional and showcase the group's vocals really well—much better than their previous two singles. It's their best release in a long time. Too bad it's just a digital single, and their company didn’t even bother to make a music video to help promote it.
This might be the most boring and uninteresting album I've ever heard in my life, and I'm very curious as to what happened here... After five albums produced by jyp (not-so-good albums, but fun!), they officially move to jype, and their first release is this? Okay...
I guess hitman bang's influence in their old music is bigger than I thought, 'cause this is also their first album without him in the production
I wouldn’t say the songs are bad, but I don’t really care much for them either. They don’t sound much like IVE and are quite forgettable. Also, I think Starship is trying too hard to force nostalgia-driven impact with these samples, and it’s starting to erase IVE’s identity. It worked with After Like because it felt fresh, but now it’s just kinda... meh.
Their first release after leaving SM, and the result is quite disappointing—especially after releasing three good albums back to back. Brand New is a very forgettable project, and nothing could’ve prepared me for the K-gospel in the middle of it. When I heard the first 'Oh my God, I love you Jesus,' I was speechless
It's not my favorite FKA twigs project, but it's close. I'm happy with it. I did get scared for a bit after seeing some comments about childlike things, but thankfully, it's not as bad as I feared. I would prefer it not be a thing, but I didn't hate it at all.
Favorite tracks: EUSEXUA, Striptease, and Keep it, Hold it.
The only track I didn’t enjoy much is 'Smooth,' but maybe it’ll grow on me. 'Tidal Wave,' 'Out the Door,' and 'Her' are my favorite songs here, and I love that they’re grouped together.
I can't believe my favorite 1st gen debut came from a YG artist... Crazy stuff! I already knew 'Come Back to Me,' and I've always thought it was an excellent debut track, but I never expected to enjoy the whole album.
Not Enough is beautiful; I wasn't expecting such an emotional song. It's definitely my favorite title track from the group, and maybe even my favorite song in their discography. The b-sides are cute, but none captivated me as much as the title track. Without U and Top Shape round out my top 3.
She really included a 2-minute track of her literally crying as the intro. Crazy.
Honestly, considering how groundbreaking Adult Ceremony was for her career, this is a great follow-up album. It's not as good, but it doesn’t fall short either. I’m curious to see how and when her career will evolve again until she reaches the sound she has today!
Also, Nastified is a banger but the lyrics are kinda funny the girls are fightinggggg
