We are faced with Brandy's third studio album, something much more futuristic, fresh, and fun than what had been heard from her before. It was one of the best moves she could make—a captivating album that engages the listener.
The sounds are promising and daring, something new for 2002. Despite having the typical bell synths of 2000s R&B, there are distortions, robots, decorative and melodic autotune in some songs, and sometimes less catchy choruses. It's a risk that had to be taken, and it paid off.
