This is a truly baffling record - considering how much flack Lizzo recieved from how she treats her dancers and other incidents in the last year you would think there would be some introspection or deeper lyricism …and yet just typical (boring) hip hop raunch. No redemption arc in sight. This is far removed from “Cuz I Luv You” peak…as she tries to be a knock off Sexxy Redd
Illuminati Hotties minus the riot grl edge. But still a fun indie pop listen.
It’s good to hear James Ishi shred again. They wasted him on the previous album which was mostly industrial/electronic.
