i will continue to be biased abt loona's music idc anymore lol, icarus is amazing. ALSO the cinematic MV was absolute kpop peak :')
wasn't what i expected, ngl, so i was a little bummed when i first heard it performed at their seoul concert. once it officially released and i gave it more time to listen to, it grew on me lol. the verses feel a little flat, as if it were lacking something, but the chorus has me on a chokehold
golden recipe and slingshot were kind of misses for me, but the overall album was perfection. feels like they're finally finding their sound that truly suits them, so i hope they stick with it in the future. personally have high horse, know about me, and papillon on constant repeat.
tbh i wasnt that big of an nmixx fan prior to this album, but man a good mini really can change you lol. probs my fav nmixx release so far. also, sonar was a fun pre-release song idc. they had some of the best b-sides with this comeback, passionfruit and xoxo being my top 2 on repeat. if nmixx keep up this momentum i cant wait to see how the rest of 2024 will look for them, especially as one of the best vocal groups of late 4th gen.
why is the mixing so bad, dawg... and the eng lyrics feel so off TT_TT
ngl, i had low expectations for this debut but im glad i got proved wrong as hell. the b-sides were soooo goooood, really loved colouring and newtopia. strawberry soda was also really cute. i love my moon girls.
went into this blind, so no teasers or highlight medleys. definitely one of their best releases so far imo. i loved AAA <access> when it came out but rn, these two are going neck and neck for #1.
i really liked a lot of the songs off the mini. idk if its just me though, but the entire album feels under-produced in terms of the backing tracks. felt very lacking compared to the other stuff itzy has released, unless this is what the producers were going for?
overall still an enjoyable listen with a good handful of the songs making it to my main playlist. my favs off kill my doubt were:
- none of my business
- bratty
- psychic lover
- & kill shot
i'll have to come back to this, but the first listen through was a little on the underwhelming side :/
"that's not my business..." is a quote i've been living. i was hooked w/ the teaser and had high hopes for this one specifically, but the entire song fell kind of flat. i personally liked it, mostly the chorus, but i feel like there could've been more to it?
"i'm high off of that k-pop" okay, abel. anyways i liked the production, bad bunny really carried this song since it fit his style more. otherwise, i gotta agree that this was underwhelming.
idk why it took me so long to finally listen to this. one of my fav psych/synth pop albums to date
idk, maybe i'm under a rock but i feel like kazuo's music is vastly underrated. nothing but high energy and great delivery with origami
