ezcodylee - STUNT 4 LIFE

This feels very refreshing to the rage sound; it’s very interesting and kept me hooked for the whole ride but that was mainly because of the concept of the album some songs just didn’t do it for me and almost felt like filler but when the songs are good they are really good so it could make up for it.

The punk influence is very appreant in this album one of the few underground rappers to actually have a somewhat nice influence from punk and able to mesh it into their production, ... read more

Suffocation - Effigy of the Forgotten
84

Holy shit, why have I just now listened to this? This shit just made me so horny nigga. One of the best death metal albums I've heard so far, my goddddddd

Kittie - Spit
72

Pretty cool, got repetitive at times ngl but since Charlotte is so fucking good I'll let it slide

Death Grips - Government Plates
94

Most people usually shut down this album because of the “lack of ride vocals,” but I think it's genius; the creativity is insane on this album; this is up there with my favorite Death Grips album, my 2nd favorite. It also, (I think) inspired the sound of Machine Girl (one of my favorite electronic bands ever), so I hold this album closely.

The way Ride uses his voice as an instrument is so trippy and cool. This whole album feels psychedelic, but the synths on this album go ... read more

Damnnn, do I miss the feeling of listening to nu metal. This is my first nu metal album in a hot minute, so I thought I'd check it out because a friend showcased some nu metal albums in a slideshow of theirs, and I don't regret giving this a listen. I love my Nu Metal with some aggression, and this gave me exactly what I came for: awesome instrumentals and diverse vocals. Honestly, their vocals remind me of Korn sometimes which I think is pretty cool

eX-Girl - Back to the Mono Kero
NR

I haven't decided a score yet on first listen, but this was a fun listen, the production felt very trippy and happy, very weird in a good way honestly caught me off gurad but I also really appreicate the vocals very creative on how they used it. (writing this so I can come back)

Josh A & Jake Hill - Save Our Souls

This is the most boring shit I've listened to in a minute. Every song felt like a slow needle being put into my skin for torture, this is way tooooooooo generic funky ahh beats

Alicester's first project and it's an amazing start. One of my favorite projects this year, there's a lot of potential already and I can't wait until they finally drop an LP/album. I will be there. Keep doing your thing, you have genuine talent bro. Love you; you will blow up soon.

(ps. writing this as a fan of your work, not a friend)
Favorite track: I deleted yo ####

Dead in the Dirt - The Blind Hole

Holy shit, I'm not sure if it was because I was high or if this album genuinely gave me chills. I could feel myself getting goosebumps from the last track, and honestly, I don't experience that with music ever, so I was surprised.

I came into this album, suggested to me not expecting TOO crazy, and I guess my expectations were blown away.
The transitions between the tracks are so smooth and also so straightforward, just pure raw energy for 22 songs. This is definitely a grindcore ... read more

S.Maharba - S.Maharba

I can feel the cover art staring into my soul. I don't know which is more haunting, the cover art or the music.

S.Maharba is a lo-fi instrumental hip-hop album made 17 years ago, which, in my opinion, isn't talked about enough, even S. Maharba's work in general. This guy is insane!!
The album gives off a mysterious yet chill vibe throughout the tracks, and I think the lo-fi sound complements the vibe well. The sampling is creative and well-done, especially in tracks like French ... read more
