ID retrospective: are the albums as good(or bad) as I remember?
Evolve remains IDs Weakest album so far, the most derivative of popular music and their own discography. It sounds like a parody of the band at times, with the occasional stand out here and there. The album actually starts out rather strong, but doesn't evolve past its opening.
There really isn't much to talk about here. There are only 6 songs worthy of note; 3 because they're good, and 3 because they sound like sound tests that accidentally made it onto the LP, thunder and everything past it feel unfinished and random, making this album end on a bizarre note with dancing in the dark
Strongest: Mouth of the River, I don't know why, Whatever it Takes
Weakest: thunder, start over, I'll make it up to you, rise up
