Paramore's 4th self titled studio album is an outstanding piece of work incorporating new sounds with elements of synths while continuing to work on what they are best at, bringing in new audiences and delivering a quinessential Paramore record as a representation of their artistry.

Perhaps this was their double-down at being a serious musician asserting an artistic force that should be reckon with after Brand New Eyes instead of just being dismissed as another band with a fanbase of predominantly teenagers, which by their 4th album, who has had become young adults at that point in time. Their self-titled album really encapsulates what the band is all about: loud, confident and dealing with lovelost. That's not to say without artistic progression as well: optimism, clearer self-reflection and being forward-looking. Most notable song off the record is easily Still Into You, which is probably the best song of the record, or their entire discography dare I say, detailing about a love song, from the guitars to the lyricism, scribbled with hopeful optimism all over the track made this an extremely enjoyable song to listen and jam out to.

17 tracks of greatness, and even the 3 tracks left off to the deluxe edition could easily pass off as one of the song on the main tracklist. The album does fall flat for being as long as it is, but this was alleviated by the interludes that's worth revisiting. Superb record, and probably the most accessible and friendly record out of Paramore's discography for anyone keen to start listening to them.
