Okay... they cooked again, what a surprise lmao
I love that they seem to be leaning into more complicated/less traditional songwriting in this album
1) Helium Balloon: From the teasers, I thought this would be one of my least liked tracks in the album. However, I ended up liking this song way more than I expected, with how it plays with its structure. (From the unexpected vocal intro, to the instrumental entrance, to the slow dance chorus, to the groovy verse, to the sad final chanting chorus) ... read more
What's that? another banger from Xdiz? This release feels like they took the heaviness and experimentalism of their previous two releases and embraced the pop sound even harder (which I like from this album, even though I want more heavy)
1) Lost and Found is good, nothing too special until you read the lyrics, which really elevate the song.

This is peak Metallica to me...
The first half of this album is the best run of songs they've ever had
The second half isn't as good, but all songs still have a riff or section that makes them stand out (especially that breakdown in Am I Savage?)
Then there's Spit Out The Bone which is arguably one of the best songs they've ever made (which says a lot because they've made some of the best songs from Kill Em' All to Load)
