Tiny Cities

After finishing Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, my Spotify went into album radio mode, and a few songs in, Sun Kil Moon came on. I had never heard of this artist until now, and if the rest of his music sounds like this, I’m hooked. I didn’t catch this at first, but after researching, I found out this album is a cover of all Modest Mouse tracks, done in folk renditions. The album features a very raw, stripped-down production. The music is incredibly intimate, and his fingerpicking and strumming carry a lot of weight. I can’t wait to hear more from this artist.
