Man... There back after 7 years... 7 long years of a waiting game and I even thought they might not even put out another album... I was wrong. There back with a new singer Amy Armstrong. At first I didn't know what to think of her but I came with a open mind of course. Heard the singles and I was blown away from the few. Like Two Faced and Heavy Is The Crown.
At that moment I was obviously still weighing on if I'll like her throughout the whole album... Once again she didn't disappoint me. Her Raw emotions and beautiful singing paints a picture of what there saying and that's how powerful Mike shinoda can do. He's not just a rapper nor a producer. He's the mastermind and all I can say is that he's still got this shit.
The whole album to me had a mix bag of sound which to me I kinda expected that since that's how LP's style is but what I heard are some elements on other albums and mashing them up together. Which to me that was awesome.
Production was good, and the instrumention was good too. They only weak point on this album that it's 31 minutes but honestly I'm not complaining.. there back and I'm a few years this will be another amazing album by this group...
For the first time ever they released an album without Chester Bennington, which at first was hard to wrapped my head around but I'm slowly getting use to this new roster but God I do miss him. He's was the heart and soul of the band.. all I can say is that Amy hopefully will carry the torch.
