There have been dozens of reviews written on this album about how it changed the genre forever, but it also changed me. My earliest memories of real music were this album, and going back to listen to it, nothing has changed – I love it just as much. Each song is unique and leaves an impression, and they all blend perfectly into the next. Just wonderful man
Quebec is a mixed bag for me. It starts off incredibly strong with It’s Gonna Be a Long Night (one of my favorite songs possibly ever) and Zoloft, but as it goes on the tracks start to blur together a little bit. A good few songs, e.g. So Many People in the Neighborhood, aren’t something I can see myself listening to outside of the full album, but work within its context. What’s the point of this album? Is it ironic or sincere? Either way it really doesn’t land. (although I can’t deny I had a fun time listening to it.) The album is at its best when I can point and laugh at a song I originally heard on TikTok. It goes far beyond the realm of coworker music. Music for people who know the price of copper at any given time

Very mixed feelings on this one. I enjoyed the first half or so, it really felt like a return to form. I like Father a lot. The rest just all kind of blends together - I’d definitely say Circles is my least favorite track. I feel like I only liked it as much as I did because it was such a breath of fresh air after the past several years of releases. I can only hope he continues to get the help he needs.
