Listening to the AOTY Top 100: Ok Computer (Original Score: 80)
It FINALLY clicked, I actually get the hype for this album. I've thought this record was overrated for a long time and never got all the critical acclaim, but I finally do

Just wanna say that this album is really pretty, if that's the right word to use. Each track has such sparkling production and gives the album an elegant feel. Basically they sound really good

Airbag, Paranoid Android, Exit Music, Climbing Up the Walls and No Surprises are all easy 10/10 songs, flawless work. Exit Music is easily the most desolate sounding track on the album, it sounds oppressive in a way, and that drop is unreal. No Surprises surprised me (haha), it's easily the most beautiful sounding song on the album, it's ethereal. The other 3 songs just go really hard. Shoutout to Karma Police too, that last minute is incredible and one of my favourite moments on the album

For songs I don't like as much, they just didn't hit as hard as the ones I loved. Subterranean Homesick Alien, Let Down and Electioneering are probably my bottom 3 on the album, they're great but not excellent. Fitter Happier is "technically" my least favourite song, but it's more of an interlude.

This album is by no means overrated, and now I'm curious how much I like it compared to Radiohead's other two masterpieces

Tldr: Kid a better?

sidenote: I really only came back to this album for airbag, android and exit music for the longest time, and i'm really realizing how wrong I was
