Jon Bellion - FATHER FIGURE
80

I really like the vulnerability and production throughout the album. The piano on Father Figure is so tough. Some songs are just kinda boring though like Oblivious or Modern Times. Some of the songs just sound so unique, memorable, and wholesome.

Favorites: Father Figure, Wash, Rich and Broke

Hulvey - COULD BE TONIGHT

I think the album starts and ends really strong and focused on the theme of "He Will Return," but there doesn't really feel like a journey or story to the album. It's a huge step up from the last project, but still feels kinda fillery in the middle.

Favorites: American Idolz, Influencers, Sky Priorities

Olivia Dean - The Art of Loving

Peak. Every song is so catchy and beautiful.

Favorites: Man I Need, Nice To Each Other, Baby Steps

Baby Keem - Ca$ino

Love the vulnerability and storytelling, but a little too freaky.

Favorites: Ca$ino, I Am Not A Lyricist, Dramatic Girl

Hollyn - Theology of Beauty: Winter

Somehow better than Fall. I like how the songs are more experimental but there's also some great worship songs too. The transitions are still excellent, and it's still beautiful throughout.

Favorites: Jireh, Gaps, Call My Name

Hollyn - Theology of Beauty: Fall

Was not expecting Hollyn to become one of my favorite artists. The music is really reflective and soulful. The transitions between songs are so well done, and the album is so easy to listen to front to back. Beautiful album.

Favorites: Where Would I Be, Time, Aren't We All

Jon Keith - GROW WINGS

Beautiful album. The themes are profound, the lyrics are vulnerable, and the songs are really pretty and catchy. Just beautiful all the way through, and tells a story of God's love for us and the struggle to accept it and extend it to others.

WHATUPRG - New Hollywood

I've relistened to this album so much and its really good every time. It touches on a ton of topics, but still has its own world and unique sound. Just a really versatile album with tons of hype moments and lots of introspection.

Favorites: Kids, Human, Hollywood

indie tribe - L O W B L O W

I see this as essentailly the same thing as UPPERHAND, but longer. The energy is really fun on a lot of songs, and the album has a few more deeper moments than the previous project, but overall its just a fun mixtape.

Favorites: Cece, Casket, Pepe Le Pew

Torey D’Shaun - Come And See.

Generational album. One of the best storytellers in CHH, and the heart behind the album is so present. Tons of emotion, vulnerability, and energy.

Favorites: Repent, What Shall It Profit, Stop It

indie tribe - U P P E R H A N D

This project is the start of something great. Really fun and energetic, with tons of chemistry between everyone.

Favorites: Tribal Council, Pop Funko, Topdown

nobigdyl. - the people we became (reimagined)

The execution of a 'reimagined' album that completely changes up the production and world makes for one of the greatest CHH albums of all time. One of those albums you listen from start to finish often.

Favorites: Rennasauce, Buzzin, Tell Me Why?

imago interlude is in the conversation for best CHH song ever. The album is full of emotion and vulnerability, and the different production choices complement the ideas really well. Great album with no filler.

Favorites: imago interlude, art of war, renaissance

indie tribe - WHO DO YOU SAY I AM?

One of the most mature Christian projects I've heard in forever. Very impressive for a group project to have such a focused theme/message and for the album sequencing to fully support that. Explores the idea of identity as Christian very well.

Favorites: Rob Hell, Judgest Sixteen, Second Samuel
