Taylor Swift returns with a group of songs that pack no punch, leave no mark, and is her worst effort to date. At least when she made Fearless and Speak Now she was being genuine. This album is a collection of storytelling more fit for a 9 year old girl than anything else, and I am honestly embarrassed for her listening to this. Taylor, you are a 35 year old engaged woman. The jig is up.
Gorillas offers an extremely eclectic group of songs on The Mountain, often leaving me confused as to what exactly was going on. I didn’t really get the point of the mountain theme either. Most of the songs were pretty solid, it just didn’t seems like a super coherent album to me.
Kanye really listened to this album, decided to add some hot garbage right in the middle, and no one told him it was a bad idea.
