When I initially listened to this album, I was admittedly conflicted on my feelings about it. None of the songs particularly leapt out to me as "the bangers" of the album. For example, Island has Chimera and Diva Under the Blue Sky as the certified bangers of the album. But, after listening to Think of You (many) more times, I realized a fatal flaw in my thinking:

It has a similar sound to Island, leaning more towards the post-hardcore, upbeat sound. I hope and pray that means the iconic Island sound is here to stay.
This album is a combination of my two favorite things in music. I love the intensity and harshness of metal, but I love the melodic, upbeat sound of j-pop. Somehow, Asunojokei was able to pull off both of these things at the same time. I love almost everything about this album. I want more, please make more.
Portal of I hits that sweet spot for me. It has the intensity and harshness of death metal, yet the softness and ambience of a symphony. While I may not be able to decide whether I enjoy Citadel or Portal of I more, I think they both serve a different, unique purpose from one another. From what I can tell, Portal of I leans more towards the symphonic side of the spectrum, whereas Citadel leans more towards the death metal side.
I can't decide whether I like Citadel more than Portal of I. However, if I were to attempt to quantify what I love so much about Citadel, I would say it's due to the trio of Wyrmholes, Triptych Lux and Reveries From the Stained Glass Womb. This trio serves what I can only describe as a cinematic journey, with all the highs and lows that you'd expect. YES or YES, SAY YOU LOVE ME, LALALA & SUNSET remind me of what it was like to feel joy. Just take those songs, slap them in a playlist and enjoy a warm summer day. If you want anything more than that, don't bother.
