I know that I might have just glazzed the fuck over In Rainbows, but honestly, this album is peak, listening to it is always an amazing experience. It's my second-favorite Radiohead album, and I'd even go as far as to say that it's one of my personal favorites overall. I mean, I have a CD of it, and I'd totally buy a vinyl if I could. But that’s not really the point. It’s about the sound. And again, it’s about the idea of art.
The album also addresses such issues as human increasingly dependant on technology that ultimately isolates and dehumanizes us. It's pretty bleak, honestly. We're kind of doomed as a species. There is some truth in that bleakness, though. Looking around me now, I'm no better—just as lost on these thoughts. OK Computer is that consumer culture deconstructed which provides pleasure but finds people alone and wanting. It's a grim truth, but one which can only too convincingly feel so.
